We are a Digital Biotech company developing a strong pipeline of Digital Drugs. A Digital Drug is a purely software-generated medical stimulus that triggers a direct physiological response. They address the causes of a disease rather than dealing with any symptoms, typically by training, stimulating or modulating specific parts of the nervous system associated with the disease. At Flying Health, we believe that Digital Drugs have the potential to treat a lot of illnesses.

Your tasks
neuraltrain is a newly founded digital health start-up based in Berlin developing innovative, digital mental health solutions. neuraltrain works closely with Flying Health, our partner in developing Digital Drugs. We are looking for a junior cognitive scientist / cognitive neuroscientist / psychologist for our current Digital Drug on a digital therapy solution in depression and affective disorders. Start date is as soon as possible.

  • Support in designing, performing and analysing experimental studies on mental disorders
  • Perform literature review and meta-analyses; in particular on, brain oscillations, psychophysics, perceptual learning, depression, internet-based therapy interventions
  • Engage in the full product life-cycle from early concepts and research prototypes to full deployment
  • Work as part of a team and engage in technical discussions in a creative, interactive and dynamic team-based environment
  • Actively participate in the team's agile processes
Requirements
  • Master or PhD in Neurosciences/ Psychology; fresh graduates are particularly encouraged to apply
  • Ideally some expertise in the following areas: neuronal oscillations, affective sciences, psychophysics, perceptual learning, EEG, EMG, skin conductance experiments, artifical intelligence or depression
  • Programming experience is a strong plus
  • Entrepreneurial mentality
  • Interest in clinical studies and bringing an innovative product on the market
  • Motivated to work on new approaches to treat mental disorders
  • Flexible and open-minded to feel at home in a fast-growing multi-disciplinary start-up
  • Proficient spoken and written English language skills with German as a plus
  • Dynamic team worker
